You’ll be joining an already established team and working on the creation and maintenance of our automated tests and other forms of coded tests against a range of Web applications. You’ll also Perform effective defect management and drive defects to closure by taking complete bug ownership.

What you’ll need to succeed

The following experience is required:

• Experience of working in Quality Assurance Automation or as a Test Automation Engineer
• Experience in all areas of the testing lifecycle (systems testing, functional, regression testing, UAT)
• Good working experience of Selenium, Cucumber or other code based test frame works.
• Good working knowledge of JAVA and/or JavaScript
• Experience in testing Web UI and Web API applications.
• Experience of Test Driven Development processes and frameworks
• Good knowledge of commonly used test models & frameworks
• Good understanding of the test lifecycle and where it sits within the development lifecycle
• Experience of carrying out peer reviews, triages, show-and-tells product demonstrations
• Experience of creating test automation framework from scratch
• At least a basic knowledge of JSON, XML and SQL
• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation or other testing qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the detailed design of Custom applications and development.

• Complete all written designs and documentation for all work undertaken.
• Rapidly developing next-generation scalable, flexible, and high-performance systems
• Code custom applications and integrations based on individual requirements.
• Solving issues with the systems, prioritizing based on customer impact
• Maintain internal project documentation.
• Ensure that customer solutions are effectively delivered.
• Adhere to described governance in all activities.
• Produce Customer implementation/project technical documents.
• Accurate completion of Development Project tools (End to End)
• Be involved in all phases of the agile software development lifecycle

• Proactively seek out and minimize pain points within the infrastructure and code base
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies and introduce them as needed
• Create next-gen solutions for unique and challenging use cases

Technical Expertise

• Strong in Core JAVA fundamental, programming skills (life cycle of objects, exception handling, clarity in scoping of variable and objects within class and methods etc., clarity in using access specifiers at packages & class level, clarity in writing thread safe code where appropriate) and JAVA based technologies – JAVA 8+ features
• J2EE Framework, Spring Framework
• Experience working in heavily multithreaded application
• Experience or knowledge of Search Engines like Solr, Lucene and Elastic Search
• Experience in microservices architecture and RESTful API development
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (preferably MongoDB, MSSQL and/or Postgres)
• Knowledge of queuing and messaging technologies like RabbitMQ, SNS and SQS
• Proficient experience working with Maven, Jenkins, Bamboo, Octopus or any CI/CD tool and deep understanding of continuous integration/continuous delivery. Willing and able to work with DevOps team and contribute to CI/CD
• Knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch is a strong plus point.
